Last week the club was treated to two
speeches using the fast-paced PechaKucha format.
PechaKucha is a style of presentation that allows you to speak in an engaging manner on literally any topic. The presentation displays 20 images, each for 20 seconds and advances
automatically as you speak. Learn more here and stay tuned for information on
an upcoming PechaKucha training hosted by Clara Barton Toastmasters (CBTM).
Kicking off the speech portion of the meeting, Jenny wowed with
a dynamic presentation detailing how the Shakespeare Theater
Company’s Acting for Business Professionals class could be a great complement to Toastmasters. We agree, Jenny!
Richard switched gears to colorfully explain how “geeks”
and diplomats are working together to execute better 21st century
diplomacy. As the Director of the Office
of E-Diplomacy at the State Department, no one was in a better position to give
this talk.
Upcoming Events:
CBTM is holding a bonus meeting on Tuesday,
October 30. It promises to be a spooky good
time!
Also on October 30 is the District Humorous and Table
Topics Contest at the World Bank.

Finally, a special congratulations goes to Rod Morgan, who recently achieved his Advance Leader Bronze status. Way to go, Rod! We are grateful for your leadership and commitment to Clara Barton Toastmasters.
